After their ride Uncle Nick and Aunt CC showed up for a visit. The boys quickly attacked Uncle Nick in the Bounce House, while Aunt CC multi-tasked by carrying Matt while trying to swing with the boys:
Apparently Uncle Nick didn't get enough abuse in the Bounce House, so the boys attacked him indoors with their swords:
After lunch the boys headed back to the Bounce House. Grandma, being the bearer of merriment that she is, had the genius idea of putting the sprinkler on the Bounce House- No Mom, I do not mean this sarcastically even though it reads that way( However, if you attempt this be sure that the water does not come in contact with the electrical!) . The boys loved it. We only left the sprinkler on long enough to fill up the basin, and then the boys started using the slide as a sort of slip and slide. They were in heaven! I swear Jack and Zach were in that Bounce House for almost an hour and we had to force them to stop and rehydrate along the way.
During the big boys bounce time Matty was taken on a stroll by Grandma, and was out in Mommy's arms watching the boys bounce. He had a lot of fun too.
Nap time was delayed today, because the kids were enjoying themselves so much I didn't have the heart to stop them. By 1:30, and all the exercise a nap was long overdue. Both big boys melted down on the way to the car, Matt was pretty relaxed about it, I mean seriously folks, they were crying so hard that it was as if someone had just told them Santa Claus wasn't coming this year.
After the tearful goodbye both Zach and Matt got a 2 hour nap at home, and then we headed to Aunt Lisa B's house for a visit with Wayne's Uncle Dave and Aunt Carrie, and their fam. It was great to see everyone, and Zach was rested and ready for a party. He enjoyed playing with his cousins, and hamming it up. Matt was the cutest, just smiling at everyone as they took turn holding him. I do have to say that he seems to really adore both of his Aunt Lisas. Matt was also mesmerized by his eldest cousin Jason and Great Grandma Helen! He was cooing away for them both!
On our way home we stopped to see the "new" house, and low and behold, progress. They have started moving the dirt to make room for the foundation.
Now that's what I call a good Friday! Tomorrow we are off to see the Easter Bunny and when we get home, we'll be coloring eggs. Sunday we are having breakfast w/Grandma Alice, and then going to my parents for an Easter egg hunt and dinner! I can't wait to see Zach's reaction to his Easter basket this year!
