A Thoughtful Tuesday

There is something so beautiful about sunsets. Whether you watch the sun go down over the ocean, or watch the setting sun from a lawn chair in your backyard; at dusk, the sky becomes magic! It is this moment in the day that, just for a second, you stop and think about how lucky you are to be part of this earth. No matter what kind of day you have today take a moment to appreciate something beautiful.
Nature is full of gorgeous surprises, especially in the Spring!

A boy and his dog!

From the very beginning, I hoped that Lennie would adore Zach. As you can see from their first photo together, there was a little distance between them. Lennie was a little unsure of this swaddled thing that made strange screeching noises at varying intervals. He was also a little disappointed that Mommy and Daddy seemed more interested in holding this new arrival, than playing with Mr McQuackin. (Lennie's stuffed duck).

Although the start of this brotherhood was a little rocky for all involved, Lennie and Zach have learned to become the best of friends. The two of them love to stare out the window as people walk by, Lennie barks and Zach laughs. Last week when the weather was nice, I decided to take Z out for some fresh air, but he wouldn't hear of going without his pal, Len. This is what I found, waiting for me by the door.

And who could say no to this face:

It seems that no matter what day it is, Zach favorite toy is the one that Lennie wants to play with. For a long time we thought Zach wanted to play with Lennie's toy, but lately it's become very clear that what Zach wants more than anything is to play with Lennie.

And like the wonderful older brother he is, Lennie always obliges.

Of all the wonders I've seen, there is nothing in the world like the love of a boy for his dog!

That's all folks!

Well... after an hour of trying to get this blog up and running, I think I have something started. This is not the blog of my dreams yet, but at least it gets me headed down the right path. My hope for this blog it that it serves as a reflection of these days in our lives that are just speeding by. For a reminder of how time flies, this is a picture of Zach from a little over a year ago. It's amazing what I've felt and experienced in these last twelve months all because of this little boy!
I am trying to figure this all out. Let's see How I do!
